Do I need to install anything?
No. Kaptio runs in your browser at kaptio.co. If you prefer your phone, there is an Android app on Google Play, and both use the same account.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Your video stays on your device. Only the audio travels to Kaptio to be turned into text, and it is deleted right after.
What can I change in the editor?
Everything: the words and their timing, fonts (including your own), colours, highlights and animations. You can also split clips, add transitions, titles, stickers, music and your own images, and change the format.
Which languages does it support?
Kaptio writes captions in the language you speak and can translate them into 30 languages. You can also show two languages at once.
What do I get when I export?
A video with the captions in it, ready to post, vertical, square or wide, in Original, 1080p or 720p, with no watermark. You can also download just the subtitles.
Can I download an SRT file?
Yes. You can download your subtitles as SRT, VTT, ASS or TXT. SRT works with YouTube and most video players.
Does Kaptio add a watermark?

How long can my videos be?
On paid plans, each video can be up to one hour long.
